Losing Weight for Your Wedding

Many brides decide to lose weight before their big day, but it's important to ensure your weight loss is safe and healthy.

How early should you start losing weight?
As early as possible. You don't want to be rushing these types of programs at an unhealthy rate when you get closer to the big day. Slow and steady is the best way to go. You will have a lot on your plate organising your big day so you don't want to add any undue stress with your new exercise and eating regime than need be. There are so many different ways out there to get yourself fit and healthy these days.

What programs do you recommend for brides?
Aim for something you will enjoy and won't bore you. This will be the big key for helping you to be able to stick with it and get the results you are after.Personally, I am always a big advocate of a resistance training program for women, whether with a trainer, in a group of through a gym. Don't worry you won't be walking down the aisle looking like 'Arnie'! Resistance training is one of the best ways for women in particular to be able to drop their excess body fat stores and give their metabolism a bit of a kick in the pants to get moving.

Why is exercise an important role in weight loss?
As we said earlier it all comes down to energy in versus energy out. Tweak both variables and you will get to your goal sooner. After just weight loss there are so many other benefits that will come from exercise. So many of them people can’t see, like your improved fitness and strength, but your change in the shape will be clear for everyone to see.
