Choose Your Favourite Engagement Rings

When it comes to engagement ring diamonds, you should know “the four C's” -- cut, color, clarity, and carat. Shopping for engagement rings can seem daunting, but the trick is to learn a bit of engagement ring vocabulary.
The cut refers to the angles of the facets in the stone, which determines the diamond's brilliance and shape. Color, obviously, refers to the stone's hue. Diamonds can run the gamut of colors from colorless to light yellow or brown. Clarity depends on how free of imperfections the engagement ring stone is. Carat refers to the diamond's size.
Another important factor in shopping for engagement rings is metal. You can find engagement bands in a variety of metals, including platinum, gold, titanium, palladium, and even recycled metals. Once you've figured out your stone's style, it's time to determine the ring's setting. Some of the most popular engagement ring settings are prong, bezel and channel.

Cost of a Wedding Planner

Weddings are a hectic time for any family, so often you feel like it's a race against time, in addition, few people know exactly about all the wedding details, so hiring a wedding planner is always a good idea. A wedding planner is someone who makes life easier for the couple getting married, by making sure that each and every element of the wedding, be it decoration, dresses, photography, food or flower arrangements, is co-ordinated and conducted in such a way that the wedding day indeed becomes memorable for all the attendees. But have you think about the cost of a wedding planner?

Wedding planners usually charge per hour. They may charge anywhere between $25 - $100 depending upon their own reputation and the reputation of couple in question. However, it is also not uncommon for wedding planners to offer a package deal. There will always be basic or typical costs, and then there are additional costs. Find out in good time, from the planner, how that will work out. While the additional cost may not necessarily come into question, the typical ones most certainly will. This is because, typical costs are about the work done by the planner, while additional is about tips, or any other monetary compensation like such. I'm sure this has got you thinking, bottom line, "how much does a wedding planner get paid?"

Thanksgiving Wedding Ideas

1. Use colors like red, gold, rust, burgundy, brown, tan, dark orange, and yellow. Add harvest vegetables such as corn, artichokes, gourds of all colors and sizes, and even a pumpkin to your reception table centerpieces.
2. For Thanksgiving Day, it's important to have a traditional Thanksgiving turkey roast as one of your menu choices so that people don't feel as though they've missed out on tradition by attending the event.

3. Do not serve a traditional Turkey dinner if your wedding is the weekend right after Thanksgiving. Not many people will want to eat more turkey so soon after. Instead, serve a marinated pork roast, mashed potatoes, honey glazed butternut squash, baby carrots, green beans, soup in a hollowed pumpkin, warm apple cider, pumpkin pie or apple pie.
4. Thanksgiving presents an entirely different set of circumstances. While you probably don't want to hold it on Thanksgiving Day, the Friday or Saturday after can be a great option.

Advantageous of Rent a Wedding Dress

The idea to rent your wedding dress is not new, but it has gained popularity in recent years.
1. It cuts costs by half. You save valuable money that can be used on the new house. Thousand dollar dresses can be rented for a couple of hundred dollars. Sometimes bridal packages come with accessories like veil, shoes etc.
2. In the case of destination weddings, the destination wedding dresses are available for hire in rental shops in wedding destinations like Hawaii and Las Vegas. It is so convenient that you need not cart your wedding dress in your baggage while flying to these places.
3. The bride need not bother about the maintenance of the dress. She can return it after using it and proceed without worry for her honeymoon.
4. If you have storage problems, renting and returning the dress solves this problem.

Design Your Bride Hair Style

Practice well before the big day to perfect the hairstyle, creating a wedding hairdo that is stunning regardless of its simplicity. This can either compliment or take away from your beauty on the most special day of your life.1. The bride's hairstyle should be chosen based not only on her preferences, but on what would work well with her dress.
2. Browse bridal magazines for pictures of bridal hairstyles. Cut out the photos that show hairstyles you may wish to wear for your wedding.
3. Shop for hair accessories that will work with your look and your headpiece.
4. Wash your hair the night before your wedding so that some of the natural oils can build up, which will help the curl hold better. If your hair doesn't hold curl well, wash your hair in the afternoon the day before your wedding to give it a little more time to get "dirty" and lose some of its softness. Your hair should be completely dry when you begin your wedding hairstyle.

Unexpected Centerpiece Ideas

Branches and Small Flowers. Holding a winter wedding means your flower choices will be a little more limited. So it's good to know that you can make a gorgeous centerpiece out of bare branches and a very limited number of flowers.

Sugared Lemons. Dusting lemons and limes with sugar tones down their bright colors for a more muted and sophisticated palette -- and they look good enough to list on your dessert menu.

Candles Hanging From Branches. Tea lights strung from manzanita branches capture a romantic "enchanted forest" vibe.

Colorful Table Lamps. Borrow an idea from interior design and line your dinner tables with chic desk lamps. The extra light on the tables makes for an intimate glow, while the big lampshades provide a bold block of color.

Eva Amurri and Her Mom's Wedding Gown

Susan Sarandon’s daughter, actress Eva Amurri, was married this weekend to soccer player beau Kyle Martino in historic Charleston, South Carolina. Eva’s plans to wear Lela Rose down the aisle, using the satin-faced silk “The Woods” gown with three-dimensional lace yolk and low back as her base. For a personal touch, Amurri and Martino’s wedding date was embroidered in the lining in pale blue, for the bride’s ‘something blue.’ Amurri commissioned Rose to make mom Susan Sarandon’s mother-of-the-bride dress, too; she produced a silk faille sheath that also featured a three-dimensional lace neckline. when Eva put on the gown, of course she was stunning but you could immediately see how comfortable she was. She felt like the most beautiful version of her everyday self, actually she love it.

Destination Wedding Tips

Destination weddings have become a huge hit with couples. Hawaii, Venice, Maldives, Sydney, Delhi, there is no dearth of exotic wedding destinations. Marrying on a beach or on a beautiful island is really catching up with those who wish to make their wedding a private affair. You could select any beautiful beach or exotic locales and have a wedding ceremony adapting to the local traditions and the destination wedding etiquette.

1. In a destination wedding, the tradition and custom of that place will have an influence on the wedding ceremony, wedding attire and food. So, you need to send invites to your family and friends so that they have an idea regarding the dress code and the theme of your wedding.
2. For destination weddings, it would be advisable to send the save-the-date notice at least 3-4 months before the wedding. Your wedding card design should be such that gives them the information about date, venue, style of wedding and attire if required.
3. While planning a destination wedding, most people plan a separate reception because some want it to be a private affair and thus, a lot of people might not be a part of it.
4. Since the guests would be traveling for your destination wedding, it is a nice idea to welcome them and show your gratitude and love by giving welcome gifts.
