Dressing for a Wedding as a Guest

When it comes to wedding dress code, everyone should be well aware about what to and what not to wear to a wedding. What to wear to a wedding as a guest is the biggest question that literally starts to haunt you. Well, learning how to dress for a wedding as a guest is not that easy, if you do not pay attention to some important details that are typically overlooked. These details include wedding theme, etiquette for wedding attire for guests, and most importantly, the time and season of the year in which the wedding is held. Carefully read the invitation is very important.


For men, a formal wedding dress would be a dark suit and tie for daytime weddings while for formal evening weddings, wear black tie attire or a tuxedo. If it's a beach wedding, then don't forget the dresses to wear to a beach wedding for guests and ditch the black tie attire! It means, you need to be as casual as possible, when it comes to beach or casual destination weddings. If it is an evening wedding and 'black tie' is not mentioned, then you need to wear a dark suit, while a tuxedo for a daytime wedding. There are lot of cute dresses to wear to a wedding for women as guests. For a formal evening wedding, floor length long evening gowns made with satin or other flowy material or short cocktail dresses are extremely apt. Avoid black, if it is a daytime wedding or if you are looking for the dresses to wear to a summer wedding. Next, you need to avoid wearing opera length hand gloves, if any.
